In the last halloweeny post for a while, I'll just post some links to readings of horror short stories. They're all from the wonderful Pseudopod podcast.

A warning: when they say horror fiction, they mean it. Hardly any of them are appropriate for kids, and most will unsettle you to some degree. That's part of the point.

I listened to "The Sultan of Meat" and then immediately forwarded it to some friends, because it kicked ass. Started listening to "The Engine of Desire", but for some reason it didn't grab me, and I didn't finish it; that may be because I was preoccupied trying to do other things at the same time. I'll try some of the others out this week when I have more time to listen.

I'm glad you liked it. As I said, it knocked me off my feet. The other stories are very different. "The Engine of Desire" is a bit of a skow burn, maybe.

That website is just a wonderful project. :-)
