Star Trek: Enterprise

Okay, first of all GIP!! I would embarrass myself more then I normally do anyway by describing how happy this icon makes me, so I shall only say I looooves it. *swoon*

Second of all, ( I have now seen all ST: Enterprise, season 1, and have a few comments to make, that probably no one but myself really cares to read, but whatever. )

Hee. It's a lot easier to enjoy this in retrospect, now that the disappointment has passed.

You have to love the decon chamber. It's like they decided that since there was no holodeck, they had to come up with another no-fail way for fanfic writers to engineer sex between two (or more) characters. You also have to love the fact that pretty much everyone on the crew strips down regularly. Equal opportunity eye candy.

:D I had tried to watch the show when it first came out, but dropped it around 6 episodes in. But it is strangely charming now. I quite like it. It's like mint milano cookies. heh.

Yes. Although I'm still upset the other shows didn't have more of this, too! heh.

Archer and Tucker were my two absolute favorites from Enterprise. Malcolm got on my nerves a bit. I could listen to Trip talk forever! I've loved Scott Bakula since Quantum Leap.

I love your summaries of the conversations between crew memebers. lol So true! And decon scenes were the best... right next to Trip in his underwear. ;)

Oh, I loved him in that, too! That was fun. I had a moment of adjustment that never quite took when I first tried watching the show back when it aired, but now I hardly think of him as Sam at all. funny, how that is.

I'm glad you liked the convos! I'm hardly even making them up. heh.

Oh, accentslash! Tucker/Reed is my absolute favorite pairing, bar none.
The retconning/absolute disregard for canon was what eventually turned me off the show more than anything to do with characterization (which was eventually not to my taste either). But OMG, with Trek fans, you cannot mess with your canon. That's just asking for trouble.

Oh, I wouldn't say it's *absolute* disregard for canon -- they do a number of things to keep it in line, some rather clever -- more like *pick and choose*. They make allowences for the sake of whatever story they want to tell.

And yes, with Trek fans, they were sort of setting themselves up for major opposition just contemplating this series in the first place.

It is the gayest, nekkidest Star Trek. And I hope they knew that we REALLY DID APPRECIATE the equal-opportunity nudity.

Also, I agree there is much to complain about with regard to Enterprise's tinkering with canon, but there are two or three spots where they do really *cool* things that tie in with what the other series establish. (For some reason, a number of them seem to involve Malcolm.)

Oh, also, T'Pol gets ten times prettier when they get her a better wig and uniform. Look forward to it!

oooh, I look forward to it! And, I've been spoiled for one or two things, mostly from tinkering around at the Memory Alpha website, which I think was the reason I decided to watch Enterprise in the first place.

I'm sort of over the whole "they're messing with canon" thing, to a certain extent.
