Oh man. Borat. WAPT news? In Jackson. Chip Pickering? MS State Representative. [headdesk] This! This is where I have to live! That was the funniest movie I've seen in years. I was appalled and surprised, and during a few key moments, I couldn't even breathe.

Duuuude! The news things was awesome and was Chip Pickering the guy that ate the cheese? I continue to be in awe. I have not recovered. And I watched a significant portion of that film with my hands over my face.

(heeee. love your icon. Brian!)

Chip was the guy at the Pentecostal camp meeting. His tenth year.

And y'all think that we only have to deal with the "red state" issue.

Oh my God. That scene. You know, as alien as it was, I was kind of moved by how much they believed and how they seemed to really want to help Borat, in a blind fervor kind of way. The guy going into tongues, holding Borat's hand... jeez.

Come and live here! *g*

OH MY GOD YES. I'm so in love with SBC at this point. So many, many things in that movie... the fight with his producer I think was the point when I was going "I am not seeing this... I am not seeing this... OH FUCK I'M SEEING THIS AND IT'S SO WRONG AND I'M LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!" And the rodeo, and the rubber hand thing, and... oh lord. My husband and I were dying. It was wonderful.

I did feel bad for the camp meeting guys, and the bed and breakfast couple. I loved the etiquette coach, who was totally unflappable.

Have you see any of his Ali G stuff? You can rent the DVD of the HBO or Showtime series he did - SO funny.

Hey frat boys? You don't wanna look dumb on video? DON'T SIGN A RELEASE FORM! I have NO sympathy.

If you ever get a chance to see "Taladega Nights", it's worth watching entirely for SBC as a gay French NASCAR driver.

waaaaait...
they were all real people?
Oh god now I feel stupid.

And kind of ripped off, in that I would have enjoyed the film SO MUCH MORE if I'd known that!

Well, I think most of them were not in on the joke. Pamala Anderson must have been aware, at least. But yeah, that was all real. *g*
