Women and Video Games

May 19, 2010 18:47

Hey guys! For my final project in class, I'm doing a presentation on women in the gaming community. If you have any research/articles/studies/interviews/discussions about women and video games, women as gamers, how women are portrayed in video games, etc. I would love to read them.

school, public, video game talk

Awesome! I may ask you a few questions about that experience once I've got things more organized.

That's fine! ♥ You might find Women Gamers helpful in the meantime. Though it's been a while since I've looked at the site.

Feminist Gamers isn't active any more, it looks like, but they should have a lot of good posts & links to articles and such there anyway?

...I feel like I should have more about this but the only relevant entry under the "gaming" tag on my journal is my entry about the company that lets men pay for women to game with them. :|a

Because I am too lazy to log out of this account at the moment:

You could try The Border House? I've seen some good articles over there. There's also LesbianGamers.com, but I admit I haven't had a chance to give it more than a cursory look.
