saw Boren's five requests and thought it was pretty cool of him. i can't see how the oregon fans can justify calling us "cry babies".

it's just crazy they managed to mess it up even with being able to watch it over again on the replay. so stupid.

Pretty much everyone except the Oregon fans (and maybe some osu fans or something who really, *really* hate us) recognize that we got ripped off. Anyone who's seen that clip of the (obviously!)tipped ball knows that. If it had been them who had been screwed by the refs (which it wouldn't have, I think) then they would have been just as pissed. And they would have had every right to be. I mean, yeah - if we'd been able to turn a couple of those field goals into touchdowns (two yard line! twice! wtf?) then it would never have been an issue. But still, the point is, it was a bad call that was completely blatant.

And yeah, exactly - what's the point of instant replay if they're still going to screw it up after a ridiculously long review? Maybe these refs need to be taught how to do it right? Maybe when they brought the replay to NCAA they never gave the officials any how-to training?

Argh.

That took you WAY longer than I expected to post on this. But I agree. It was total bullshit. And two separate ESPN programs had discussions about how we got ripped off and how we have a right to be upset, and how if it were them they would be pitching a fit instead of taking the high road like Stoops is. But I am proud of Boren and Stoops for filing formal complaints and such.

Yeah. They're being a lot better about it than most would. I'm sick of people calling them whiners because they're protesting unfair treatment.

Sorry I never called you back - I was at the TU game when you called (I was there for the whole fourth quarter, listening to the radio and relaying what was going on... and yelling about the bad calls.)
