I was bouncing off theories and ideas on what kind of gear and abilities Longshot has, and this was the result of that actually, if I recall correctly. The amusing thing is, I had sent rexlapinii a later piece featuring Longshot's abilities that was supposed to be the first overt mention of what he does, but this piece was just far too good to pass up on! :D
