Joshua had woken her up early to tell her he was going into town with Artie. Clothes, supplies, getting a feel for it... She'd have gone with them, but, at that point? She'd been too exhausted. She'd just fallen straight back to sleep.

Now that she was awake, though, Claudia felt nervous. She'd checked his room twice, saw the different sized indents in the pillows. She still felt a bit stupid for having come in last night to sleep with him. It wasn't like she was seven anymore. But she'd woken up just... sure he wasn't there. But he had been.

She wasn't crazy. She hadn't just imagined the whole thing and been brought here by Artie to keep her from hurting anyone. She'd really saved her brother. He was really back.

After a long, hot shower and a change of clothes, Claudia finally descended the steps. She smelled food. How long had it been since she'd had a real meal? Of course, she was a guest. Probably shouldn't just help herself. But if it was out...
