A few days ago, we went to see a lovely Korean movie whose Hebrew title (translated from Korean) was something like "Making yourself at home". It tells the story of a young man who rides his motorbike in the city streets, posting pizza fliers on each door. Yes, I know. I tend to be wary of such "well-meant" intrusions myself, and am having a difficult time adjusting to them since I returned to Israel; I'm still surprised, and sometimes shocked, by the amount of liberties people take with my private domain without being aware that they are being offensive in any way. Some of this may be a cultural thing and some of this is certainly personal preference, mine leaning more toward the private. But I'm willing to accept that others' preferences may be shaped by different sets of experiences, and they may feel comfortable to the point of not noticing such intrusions at all.
