Who's here? Death, Life? Justin? Charlie? Anyone from home? Anyone I haven't met yet? I'm always glad for the company. Not that the City's boring, it never is, but you can never meet enough new people, I think

[There's a little pause as Neil decides not to ask all the questions on his mind.]

We're between plays, now, though I think the next one's going to be Todd's, maybe next month or so.

...Todd finished it? [incredulously] He's willing to let other people see it?

He's not thrilled about sharing, at least not yet, but yes; it's done and it's excellent and I think he'll let me stage it.

I don't doubt the quality of his play, although I'm sure he does. Do you--have you found any actors?

I haven't started advertising yet. We always find a way, though.

[Justin figures that no further communication is necessary and makes his way to the appropriate apartment. He can only hope that Neil and Todd haven't moved; perhaps he should have asked.

[Neil and Todd are right where they were-- right where they belong-- and judging by the infinitesimal span of time it takes him to open the door, with a big smile, Neil's been ready and waiting. Of all the people who've left, Neil worried about Justin more than most; Justin, like him, never had anywhere to go back to. So for better or worse Justin being here is a good sign.]
