Inception - TSE ATCAI AELA - Arthur/Eames, PG-13

Sep 21, 2010 08:04

This story contains character death and mildly-graphic violence. It's not like anything else I've written for Inception. You can consider this a warning. I never thought I'd be the sort of person to warn for that, but everybody has their buttons and I try to respect that.

Wow, that HURT.

In a good way, except for the ending, and the monumental cliffhanger it is.

Dang, you, this is brilliant, and painful, and what the hell happened next?!

...

AUGH.

Obviously I mean that in the best possible way, the amazingly well-written and gorgeously-characterised way, but also in the way of OW, OW, OW, MY HEART. ):

Oh god this is heartbreaking :( But so, so good.

However, I won't remember this story for the angst and the tragedy (albeit well executed), but for this little image here:

Arthur looks through the glass sliding doors. Eames is currently playing 'horse' with James in the backyard; James is sitting on Eames' back and using the collar of Eames' plaid shirt to direct him where he wants him to go.

Oh, and also: I read this story to take a break from writing an essay on Xerxes. And then this: There's something he's missing about the patent Xerxes Pharmaceuticals is filing. IT IS HAUNTING ME D: And yes, yes, I'm getting back to work now D:
