Inception: Kobayashi Maru (Arthur/Eames, R)

About once a year (sometimes once every two or three years) I write something that I think is beautiful. That I'm proud to say, "Yeah, I did that." I'm pretty sure that this story is the one I've been waiting fourteen months for.

Inception
Arthur/Eames
R

Kobayashi Maru

This is simply gorgeous. Your Arthur is maybe the best I've read yet, so very...him. I love his slow realization that his feelings for Eames are as real as they get. This is definitely destined to become a lot of people's favorite, myself included.

And it has to be said, the image of Arthur touching himself for Eames, looking at himself in the mirror like that...it's scorching hot in an aching sort of way.

Awesome, awesome job.

The bit about schadenfreude is SOOOO Eames. That whole bit was hilarious, especially Yusuf's concern for the chair. And then omg, the 'go to sleep, mr. Eames' moment that you just TOOK OVER. AHH!

James Dean. Classic movie marathons. and holy shit, the kids asking about Eames. PERFECT. Arthur staying with Eames' parents, zomggg. Arthur's HEAVY DOOR. Such symbolism!

I seriously get VERY excited every time I see that you've posted something. You're really a brilliant writer, and I really cannot sing your praises enough. Suffice to say, I am so very glad I got to read this before work this morning, and am definitely going to be reading it again when I get home tonight. Excellent work.
