So, who else watched The Unusuals besides serialkarma and myself? And which one of you is actually writing for it, because no way would a show without a fandom person writing for it have a Kowalski, a Walsh and a Snape in one episode. It also has McManus and Augustus from Oz. I'm just saying. Check it out ( Read more... )

random fandom yay!

I forgot about The Unusuals, but was totally looking forward to it. Stupid not-being-used-to Wed-night tv. And now I'm going to have to catch up on Castle, because Fillion means I can dl at some later date, but Poke just ups the ante to *now*

Also, hello Mr Atwood. Actually, you may or may not be outshined by the awesomeness that is Bull Randleman, so watch out.

(I just really need shows where it's a revolving cast from Oz, The Wire, Band of Bros and Generation Kill. Or just one show with all of that. I can dream.)

I am pretty ambivalent about Nathan Fillion, but Poke is worth it just for the suit and hair thing. POKE! I don't think anybody could outshine the awesome of Bull and if he's smoking a cigar, there could be swooning.

We have this, dear, they're called DVDs ;-)

I was thinking less DVD, and more crossover of doom, but either way is good.

I'm watching Castle like that, too, because it doesn't take much brainpower and Nathan Fillion entertains me. And Poke and his partner whatsisface are amusing in a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern way.

POKE! Ilu Poke. And he and his boyfriend are hysterical. That scene in the dumpster when they were talking about the sofa? I just laughed.

I know! And how the one guy was like "No, that's disgusting!" I, uh, take it he never lived in the dorms in college. Or in an apartment with other students. Particularly other GUYS.

(Although, seriously, anyone in New York City who picks up a rug or a piece of furniture off the streets these days is an IDIOT. You may as well put a neon sign on your door that says "BEDBUGS WELCOME")

Well, it's not the second coming, or anything, but I thought the writing was darn solid, the cast interesting and varied (I was interested-to-intrigued about just about every apparent regular) and Ryan Atwood the cop was hot. Who knows if they'll fulfill the promise of the pilot, natch, but it's quite the promising pilot, I thought, particularly in the been-there-done-that world of police based shows.
