1. This is why Petrellicest is a viable option. Thank you piratesdaughter. For those who may be on the fence, I recommend scribblinlenore who broke my 'cest cherry. Yeah, it's just as dirty as it sounds.

b. antheia made FNL icons! Oh, FNL, how I love you so! You've inspired me for the first time in months. Why does everybody else not love FNL, too? Finally, a fandom that's ( Read more... )

Yeah, I dig this. It feels so obvious, like of COURSE that's how it was. Poor Smash... every week I'm surprised at how much I like FNL. It doesn't take the easy way out, the cliched plots. It tries to be its own thing, and that's rare on network tv.

One thing- "What the hell, Street, don't this thing come with breaks?" he grumbles, grabbing onto the rails of Jason's bed for dear life.
Think you mean "brakes."
: )

What if we break the brakes? *shakes head* Excuse me, I just had cookies.

Exactly. I suspect that's what I love the most about it, that it makes me cringe and ache, but in that honest beatdown way as opposed to going for the cheap hour wrap-up type of way.

Wait a sec. Before I say anything about the story do you mean that Lenore popped your cherry with that story? As in only two days ago? I'm literally tripping over my incredulity here.

Okay, fic: I really enjoyed this. You've got a gift for making dialogue sound the way it's supposed to--easy, fluid, kids thinking on their feet. It's nice to get a real Smash perspective and I actually especially liked the points about the church and Smash's religosity (is that the right word?) in relation to his steroid use. It's nice to see this whole drama play out from Smash's POV, especially because we saw how outside of it he was in the last episode. Also, cookies. My personal philosophy is "Those who eat together sleep together" and, yeah maybe you weren't going for that, but I was overjoyed at the cookies regardless. Anyway, this seems a little babble-friendly, so: good work, you're awesome, thanks for sharing.

My incest cherry, yes, well except for that one time in HP with the twins. ANYROAD. I digress.

religiosity: noun: exaggerated or affected piety and religious zeal

"Those who eat together sleep together" *blinks* Well, I never quite thought of it that way, but if that's true, boy have I been getting around recently ;)

I'm so very pleased you enjoyed it because I'm a big fan on you work, so thank you.

So, what you're saying is... no, not the right word at all. All that education only to make a fool of myself on the internet.

The Lord knows what's in Smash's heart. Intent has to count for something.

Oh, Smash, if only it did...

It's really strange how Smash and Tyra don't seem to have any real, close friends, but this scene... god, I wish the show would give us this.

*flaps at you*

I love this story. I got inspired from like two seconds of interaction with Jason and Smash, and how Smash, like you said, just doesn't seem to have anybody his own age. Except for now he might have Waverly, and also, I totally shamelessly ship Tyra/Billy, but um, yeah. FNL! ♥
