An article on Yahoo! Sports compelled me to click on it, because I knew Miami was going to be somewhere in the top 5:

America's Worst Cities To Be A Sports Fan

Orlando is a shitty sports city for different reasons. Nobody is from here, so nobody gives a shit about our one sports team, the Magic.

Shitty is shitty, whichever way you look at it...although I'd say living in Florida is like a pre-req to having a shitty sports city unless it's a college town.

*sigh* The idea has merit, except that I'm fully expected to produce a "real" job straight out of university or Dire Consequences Will Commence.

I hope your family has let up on you a bit regarding the job hunt. Parents are often guilty of putting on pressure when they shouldn't. I know I have been.

Thanks to what you wrote, I was reminded of what I *shouldn't* be doing. So because of you, there is one almost 23 yr. old, end of summer college grad (my son), who has been spared any further 'you should do this to find a job' comments from his mom (me).

There's been some letting up, happily. Not a lot, but recent developments have contributed (see most recent entry for details) in a big way to the relaxing of the Job Hunt Inquiry Grind.

Glad to hear my whining produced a positive (?) result for your son, lol.

Yes, it produced a very *positive* result for my son. Glad to hear that you have a bit of relief on your end, too.
