Within an hour of signing up for fencing, I came down with a cold thing. Sore throat, weird aches, etc. This happened while I was watching Atonement, which, well, I can see the critical complaints, and I think some things were kept from the book that needed to be more subtly presented ... but the ending still made me cry like a little baby

wow just today my girlfriend confessed that she's always wanted to take fencing lessons. is it awesome? seems like it would be.

It's awesome! It's also very aching-muscle-making at first, but it's both really fun and really good exercise which doesn't feel like exercise. Which, since I hate exercise, is doubly fantastic for me.
