Most of you know I have spent the last four years in a deeply internal place, doing lots of psychological demolition and rebuilding in conjunction with the whole life-change thing. Wasn't there a bunch of trance/ambient on the CDs I burned for you? I could've sworn I burned it all & didn't sort, or did I? ...if not, I can always mp3 & zip, and put up on a d/l site for you to snag -- didn't you say you were getting broadband?

ps I was wondering what you thought of Krugman's analysis & explanation of the subprime market & its impact on the general economy. It read -- at least to the untrained eye -- as an excellent explanation of a particularly complex subject, and I've been reading his columns since (well, whenever I can get ahold of a working pw to get into the damn NYT site, grrr).

Yeah, you did but I had to wait until I got my new computer to read them because my cd drive was down on the old one. And I've only just finished getting my cds onto this new computer and now I've started mining through all the stuff you gave me, which is happening slowly. It takes a while because every time I rip something new I realize that I haven't heard this in a while, I sit there in a trance and get engrossed and my producitivity drops accordingly

oh, and if you missed it, there's a sofa in your room now... an ACTUAL sofa, that can be ACTUALLY sat on, instead of just looked at. Imagine that!

(I was going to do brilliant red flocked-velvet instead, but I couldn't find any, and the only really pretty turqouise or celadon I could find were abstract blocky patterns, so I went with a mushroom-purple as a compromise. The color may look a bit wierd in the pictures, but that's a deep mushroom purple, honest.)

I think I did miss it but I love both the style and the colour. Looks just right for afternoon naps.
