.:.4.:. Open House?

Sep 03, 2007 02:20

First of all: I don't know why they call it an open house, since this isn't a house, it's an office building. Second: It was less like the open house (open school?) days back in grade school when the parents got to meet their kid's teachers and more like random people bursting into my office in "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" style and ( Read more... )

Of course! Their chief weapon is surprise. ... Surprise and fear. Fear and surprise. And ruthless efficiency. And an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.

I dunno, I thought they tasted pretty good! Some people can't appreciate quirkiness, I guess.

Someone nearly fell on him. They knocked his pot over and a good half of the dirt fell out. A few of his leaves are bruised but he's going to pull through!

You may send him a "get well soon" card if you like.

How'd they knock him over?

I'll just send a "Get Well Soon" through you. Just a little water and he'll bounce back.

The cow-shaped clock on my desk started to moo and one guy was startled and took a big step back, right into Larry's pot, which tipped over. Larry was terribly alarmed.

I'll let him know you care, I'm sure it'd make him feel a lot better. :D

The Spanish Inquisition. It was a Roman Catholic tribunal to root out and punish heretics, marked by cruel methods of torture and the lack of rights afforded to those accused.

It was also the name of a Monty Python skit where three Cardinals burst into a room and try to torture a lady into confessing that she is a heretic by tying her to a dish drying rack, and another lady by hitting her with pillows and then making her sit in a comfy chair. It's pretty funny.

Maybe it would make you feel better to know that I still have some cookies left over? I can bring some by on my next break. ♥

...... Oh.

Huh? A python called Monty does a skit? Uh, that sounds rather strange.

REALLY?!?! Though I would not want to impose on you...

Rangiku-san, it isn't a python named Monty, it's a comic troupe called Monty Python. You should come over sometime and we can watch some of their skits together. :D

And it's no imposition, your desk isn't too far out of the way. I'd be happy to bring some of the cookies to you.
