So it turns out I am going to talk about this today. Because Nothing Much To Do (modernized Much Ado About Nothing webseries set in a New Zealand high school - yeah, that exists) posed the new episode earlier today. And obviously I watched it immediately ( Read more... )

SO FUNNY THAT YOU'RE POSTING THIS.

I found this webseries the night before you posted this entry; I found it in the comments of the final Emma Approved episode (about which I am very lukewarm) - I don't know what to think about it. I don't much love the idea of Much Ado about teenagers, nor do I think everyone is well cast, but in my skipping around I did see Claudio yelling and I thought that, at least, was really well done.

I also found a webseries called Classic Alice. I have no idea what I think about it so far, except that I find it intriguing and will keep watching.

Well, I absoluely adore Nothing Much To Do. I know that Much Ado about teenagers isn't exactly ideal, but they're making it work. And the eavesdropping scenes are so ridiculously charming. Also the scenes of the first party. It did take me a while to warm up to Ben, but now I find him adorable. But I have a massive soft spot for anything Much Ado-related. It is essentially my favourite trope ever. And I enjoy how they're dealing with the webseries medium, SO.

I am very much torn on whether to watch Emma Approved. On the one hand, I do think Emma might lend itself to webseries format better than some novels, on the other hand, I was burned pretty hard by the end of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

I did decide to watch Classic Alice tonight though. I think I really like it. Although, Pritchard is a bit of a jerk. And I'm not sure abou how they're dealing with the idea of what is cool/socially acceptable. But I think I'm going to keep watching.
