As we come closer to the end of season 2, let’s pause and take a look back at some of the highlights from the first part of the season. At least, I think this is what happened. I could be remembering wrong. But I have pictures, so this must be what happened!
2x01 Steve escapes from prison with some assistance from Victor Hess. Steve then sleeps over at Max’s place, so Danny yells at Steve.
2x02 Steve reveals to the world that he is a life-long devoted reader of Woman’s Day magazine. He believes that this makes him bad-ass enough to take a phone call in the middle of a meeting with the new Governor, a meeting for which Steve wore a suit. Danny is excited to see Steve in a suit and cannot keep his hands to himself.
2x03 Kono starts to hang out with some bad people, and Steve takes his buddies camping along with their friend “Mary Jane,” which in Hawaiian is pakalolo. Fans everywhere begin to worry that the fabric of Five-0 will unravel, until Secret Agent 00Max steps in to save the day.
2x04 Steve proves that he is a romantic, yet frugal, guy. He presents Catherine with a flower that he just plucked from a tree in a public park. He is a busy and thrifty SEAL who does not have time to stop and properly purchase flowers. To show her contempt, Catherine puts the flower behind her right ear, indicating that she is available. tkeylasunset quickly offers to comfort Steve if his heart is broken. Or even if it isn’t, because she is nice that way.
2x05 Steve and Danny climb up on a nearby roof because they get confused and think this is the episode about a tsunami. Chin gets aggravated with this silly haole behavior, but then he decides it’s okay because Steve and Danny are just so darn pretty! Steve is confused by this, but Danny is pleased and takes the opportunity to show off his tight-fitting shirt.
I hope this little review of some highlights from early in the season brought back many fond memories for you, just as it did for Danny, Kono, and the rest of the group!
