This was sweet and heart warming. I admit my chest ached a little at this:

Steve shudders and, oh, Danny is not kidding about a therapist for Steve, being this freaked by your sister's presence is not healthy. Danny's completely not expecting Steve to move, slow and uncertain, towards Mary.

I hope not. It'd be too easy to make him a bad guy and a bit stupid. I like Joe and I hope we're shown he really is in a rock and a hard place trying to protect Steve. I'm knee deep in a 2.10 epic coda and keep hoping what Joe I write doesn’t get screwed up by future eppys..ha!

I suppose if he does turn out to be a bad guy, there's always the Jenna method of dealing with it - I just write her as still alive, so I suppose the same with Joe. I'm looking forward to seeing your 2.10 coda (even if Jenna doesn't survive)

This was beautifully emotional and a perfect story for a Christmas Eve. Good for Mary for wanting to see her brother and for Danny's helping her to do it.
