Solace did a very good job of making my heart break for Chloe and Clark. I loved the writing and the emotions it evoked. You caught the characters so well.

I also liked the power mutation you gave Chloe and the way that power combined with the circumstances caused her to do something she wouldn't have done and couldn't have done before. It's disturbing to think that she could wield that much power, yet at the same time is realistic. She weakened Brainiac, who nearly defeated Clark. She is powerful and that power could crush a person, which is an aspect I loved that you expanded on and gave a resolution to it. I was glad J'on could grant Chloe that release from what had happened, and I was also glad that Clark wasn't about to sit by at the end.

Oh, I'm wordy this morning. I could say more, since I loved the story, but I think I've said what I really wanted to say. It was a lovely angsty story and hit the spot.

Thank you for providing such detailed feedback! I was trying to think of an organic way her power could evolve, and this seemed to fit with the energy she took from Brainiac. Once I did that, I sorta had to go all the way with it.

I'm really glad you liked it!

I absolutely loved this story. Love you enhanced Chloe's power and touched on a subject that people face everyday. "What would you do if.... and if in a certain situation and you had the power to stop it what would you do?" Great. Loved the story. Thank you for sharing Solace with us.

You're welcome, and thank you for the feedback! It was one of the few Chlark fics I really had to work for, but I liked letting Clark see the Fever letter and aftermath from her perspective.
