Congrats on no longer having to wear those ugly uniforms uhuhuhuhu. If money isn't an issue (i.e. your dad is sure he has sufficient funds for private education), go with what you really want to do and nothing else. I think it's awesome that your family is supportive of your inclinations and not doing the typical Asian thing of trying to convince you to do something more "viable" like engineering, law, accountancy blahblahyuk =Db

Oh, they did. They sure did. Typical Asian parents are typical lol. They tried to get me into medicine but failed. They tried to get me into accountancy after that, but failed. It's nice to have older siblings as backup huhu. |D

Hahah omg typical describes Asian parent mentality perfectly - dad wanted sis to do medicine and bro to do accountancy lolol. Neither acquiesced to said wishes, mostly because they learnt from my painful mistakes of attempting to compromise and ending up doing psych which no one including myself is really enthusiastic about, instead of parent-approved law or something in the creative arts which was what I wanted.

I did my A-levs in KDU and heard many good things about their culinary prog while I was there (most importantly, the enthusiasm came from the students themselves). A college mate graduated from that department and he's having fun working in Switzerland, it all sounds so glam *w* If you go the private college route, there's the opportunity of experiencing "college life" as opposed to more regimented education in public universities, so if Dad is willing to make your tertiary experience more enjoyable, go for it XD
