OMG she is one of the cutest kitties I have ever seen!!
We had Zoey chipped, but we haven't gotten it done with Bella. I think depending on where you go, it's either a one time charge, or some places charge you to update the information on the chip. When we took Bella to get spayed at the Humane Society, they offered chipping for somewhere in the neighborhood of $50-60, but prices will probably vary widely depending on where you go (in my experience, the actual vet is almost always more expensive, but it's also more personal, so it's really up to your preference).
She has the tiniest little paws ever! So cute its sick!
Zoey never had any trouble with the implant, has she? I read up on the chip/scanner types on the net and prices, but I couldn't find much about how the chips perform (malfunctions, etc) or if they are ever rejected in anyway. Apparently most(all?) of them are sealed in a glass pellet that the muscle and tissue actually connect to once the chip is inserted. Does that make them robo-kitties? Neko-borg? :O
No, Zoey never have any problems, and she got an old school chip... I think she got her implant 8 years ago or so? I'm sure the technology has gotten better since then, too, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
And yes, it won't be long before we ALL have chip implants and are slowly assimilated into the collective... *creepy red eye laser*
Aw, thank you! It does look like eyeliner, doesn't it? Her skin around one eye being pink makes it look like she didn't apply it properly though. ^^;;;;
