Editrx just told me the news. A surfeit of life has left me without time or energy even to lurk in LJ since sometime last summer.
As I should hope would be universally the case, Gyzki has my very best wishes and prayers. I will clearly need to make time to check for updates.
I don't think I ever said a lot about it at the time, but I'm a cancer survivor. I get reminders regularly that I am one of the very lucky ones, in that it was caught early, was easily treatable, and that I'm now approaching five years free of any evidence of it being anywhere in my system. I know all too well that I'm the exception, not the rule, and that even a successful response to cancer is often a difficult and lengthy process.
Adverse reactions to medications and/or radiation happen with disturbing regularity. Count me among all those who are now pulling for Gyzki to get past negative effects, but for the cancer to be eliminated. My very best wishes to all of the family. It's just as hard for them as it is for him, though in different ways.
