mini-rant: culinary vocabulary

A major foundation of tonight's dinner: pork butt boneless southern style ribs. Pork butt boneless southern style ribs. I'm sure these terms carry some actual significance in kitchen-speak, but in plain anatomical English "boneless butt ribs" is nonsense. (But O what yummy nonsense!)

In kitchen-speak, the idea of pork butt (shoulder) ribs is nonsense, too. Heck, boneless ribs just is so wrong a concept.
