Outta My Hands

There isn't much more that I can say about this semester. I just finished my last final in Social Problems. I had 3 A's coming into the final. Sadly they were 90-90-90. My professor's policy was that you drop your lowest score, but the final had to be one of the tests you use. Sad. Did I get the 90? I am not sure. I really hope I did. For ( Read more... )

I've never read this. It's on my "Autumn/Winter" reading list -- last year I hit Dracula which I had also never read.

Interesting little backstory about its writing. Are you familiar with, "The Year Without A Summer?" I learned this on the History Channel. There was some massive volcanic eruption which spewed so much ash into the atmosphere that global weather patterns were effed up for a few years. The year of the eruption, Mary Shelley and friends were off at some retreat for the summer. The continual overcast, unseasonably cold weather through the whole season inspired her to write Frankenstein.

I would be more than intimidated by that reading list, personally -- I'd be shitting my pants! :) Good luck with it -- just don't spend too much time breathing!
