Tell me again what your degree program is? I've forgotten. Sounds like education, though. BA, I assume?

BA in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies

I'm so excited for you! One warning--most education classes are basically steaming piles of horse shit taught by people who couldn't actually hack it in the classroom and thus retreated into teaching college. Hopefully this won't be the case for all of your courses, but I can almost guarantee you'll have at least a few in this category. Play along to get along, but take it with a grain of salt and common sense. Remember that whoever you end up student teaching under will probably have at least twice as many years of classroom experience as any of your education professors. Sad but true, and a big part of what's wrong with the training of new teachers in this country.
