My niece has arrived!!

Alyssa Marie made her debut today, 6lb, 2 oz.  Mom and baby are both healthy and well.

I'll probably do the proud aunt thing and post a picture later, after her Daddy gets around to sending me one.  :)

Yay!!!!

Not religions... well, not quite.  I'm converting to Mac.

My Biology professor recently said "There would be world peace if everyone took a Bachelor's degree and used a Mac."

I'm not quite sure what the first part would mean; perhaps he thinks that having gone through similar learning experiences, we might all be on level ground for once.  Granted ( Read more... )

Happy Halloween, everyone!

We've just turned off the porch light, after a very depressing showing.  In spite of the giant inflatable Tigger vampire (guaranteed kid-bait in prior years) we only had 9 kids. 
Okay, 7 - the last two were high-schoolers.

There is a good reason I haven't posted for most of the summer.

In a fit of temporary insanity... I've declared a double major in Anthropology and Foreign Languages.
For most of the past many weeks (and most of my brain cells) I've been drilling French into my brain so I can test out next month.  The month after that, I will test out of German ( Read more... )

- survived finals (with a 4.0! YIPPEE!! I was sure Geology was going to get me.)

I woke up to more white stuff on the ground this morning, and huge flakes of it still falling.

I'd take another picture, but after it stopped falling the sun came out,  and most of it has melted already.  I'm used to snow hanging around for months - this is nice!
