Ugh, I just filled up with gas because I'm going to the mountains and I was out. Four dollars and twenty flippin cents (and I'm not thinking FLIPPIN!). People are retarded. I would just stay here this weekend except for the stupid no boys at the house without a chaperone rule. Lame, lame, lame.

Yeah, it's ridiculous here. 4.50, 4.60, it keeps rising. I will probably run out of gas, because I didn't fill up before everyone freaked out. Every gas station that kept prices down is now out of gas completely.
With Katrina, at least it was legitimate because the people working the fuel lines and refineries *actually* had to evacuate, and there *was* a legitimate shortage because no one was working to produce the gas, and they supplied most of the south with fuel.
The hurricanes hitting further inland this year near Houston, on the other hand, those facilities actually don't supply most of the gas stations in WNC, and probably not where you are in Charlotte. So yeah, the sudden gas rush has gas stations jumping up the prices. I tried to fill up yesterday, but the pumps were actually *worn out* from use all day, and were pumping out at like a gallon every five minutes. So slow! I only got two gallons and gave up.
