So, I guess chain letters are technically a meme, although it's a stretch of the definition.

On LJ a Meme is anything that one person does and then other people do. There are lots of them, like list 30 of you itunes songs and we'll guess them, or tell everyone where your icons came from or whatever. It's a meme. (Which I will forever pronounce may-may).

To me, the whole internet jokes thing is a stretch of the definition.
