I think losing weight would be your imperitive. Just having a smoothie for a meal replacement isn't going to cut it. Try oatmeal with greek yogurt. Fruit has so much sugar. Complex vs simple sugar but still. Oatmeal fills you up
What else are you eating?
Don't worry about the abs. Walk, swim or ride until you get to where you can do planks. Or start vigorous yoga. Good for everything. I have no ab routine and I have a strong core.
Good to know. I'm not an oatmeal fan but I may have to get over that.
Laparoscopic surgery distends your belly to pregnancy levels, making digestion difficult and putting you in a pant size larger than you would otherwise be. It's worry about my abs or buy new pants. :O
As for what else I'm eating--all-you-can-eat Korean school cafeteria for lunch. That's heavy on rice, light on protein, and usually includes soybean sprouts or some other fiber, but only usually.
Dinner is typically a latte and a small egg or cheese sandwich. That varies a bit since I typically have dinner at the coffee shop over my evening newspaper/magazine.
Weekends I pick up 300 grams or so of beef or pork and enjoy a proper meal on Saturday and something slightly lighter on Sunday. Side dishes are typically canned corn and rice with barley mixed in. I'm not a very creative cook.
---edit again-- I wonder if a small bowl of barley would fill me up like oatmeal?

Also, sometimes you just have to embrace being hungry. It's only an hour, can you drink some water and distract yourself?
