A very interesting version of Snow White in which the stepmother isn't a witch, she's an alchemist and Snow, as well as the 5 (not 7) animal-people Snow finds sanctuary with, are the results of her experiments. Moreover, she's not evil per se, simply quite mad. This Snow is much more resourceful than the original, while still be a realistically sheltered noblewoman's daughter.
