Book #1 -- David Cordingly, Under the Black Flag: The Romance and the Reality of Life Among the Pirates, 278 pages.
A great introduction to historical piracy - well-written, interesting, and the bibliography is to die for. Reading this has put me back on a pirate kick (not that I was ever far off) so now I need to read more pirate stuff :)
