I am so ready to go home. Had major insomnia last night, as may be witnessed by the timestamp on my post last night. Anyone who finishes a book at 4:26AM is clearly having sleep troubles ( Read more... )

Order the TiVo, you know you want to. Especially the new S2DT that was just released on May 1st. ;-) (I run tivolovers - so I might be biased... OK, so I'm a TiVo pusher. You know you want one. ;-) )

Oh, I know I want it. I also know I have debt up to . . . well if not my eyeballs, at least my collarbone.

So I really shouldn't . . .

We love our Tivo. I think we watch less TV than we used to, and it's all stuff we want to see. And it's so nice to ahve that without messing with taping shows on actual tape, etc.!

I know. I really think I'm probably going to get it. I make the final payment on one of my credit cards next month. The smart thing would be to take what I'm used to paying toward that card and put it on the other one, but knowing me it'll more likely go to the cost of cable and TiVo.

The other reason for finishing a book at 4:26 AM is that the book is so good you don't want to stop reading it. I've done that a few times - well maybe not exactly 4:26 AM, but close enough.

House MD is available from Netflix by the way. I just appropriated my sister's copy of it when I saw her, so now I don't need to get it from Netflix.

Well, all except the first disc were for some reason. The first disc was listed as unavailable. Dunno why. Now that I've seen the first disc from Blockbuster, I've been getting the rest from Netflix.

That's weird. I just took it out of my Netflix queue, after getting home from visiting with my sister and bringing her copy home with me, and it wasn't claiming to be unavailable at any time I looked at my queue.

I'm kind of convinced that Netflix plays games with the availability of disks sometimes, but saying one is unavailable is odd.
