My doctor told me that Lexapro can cause nightmares. As it turned out, my nightmares were caused by sleep apnea, but it's apparently a real side effect.

Good luck. Nightmares suck.

*sympathetic hugs*

I've had daily headaches, almost low grade but still... and some not quite nightmares but not at all fun dreams the past month.

And i just noticed today that i forgot to put back the small gem yellow citrine crystal that i've always kept on my bed side table to ward off bad dreams* since cleaning up for the new heat system.

*that's one of its major *magical* properties that i've read since way back, not those new age attributions which i don't believe in.

I use a pure golden lemon yellow gem rough citrine, not those brownish points that you usually see.
It does seems to work, i never have nightmares :) I'll have to dig it out again...
Of course my apartment is full of protective dragons too, mostly jade. And ruby crystals and zuni fetishes...

*Hugs gently.* I hope you can fix the medic problem if that's indeed the cause of your nightmares. :(

Check your PI sheet, or you can check the PI sheet online. *snug*

It is a documented side effect, albeit one that only showed up in 3% of the test group.

I've had a similar problem. I don't know how long you've been on Lexapro, but sometimes the side effects taper off after 3-4 weeks. Mine did. It takes a bit for your body to adjust. Another option is to take it in the morning rather than night...

I've been on it for 2 months -- and I *do* take it at morning. That's one of the reasons I'm not sure if it really is the Lexapro or not.
