The second book featuring Morris Bird III. The year is 1948, Morris is now thirteen, and his grandmother is dying. Morris is just coming to the realization that the world isn't black and white like it was when he was younger, and that an awful lot of things in this world are Fake, most especially his mother. This is the story of what he does about it. I *love* Robertson's narrative style. I was afraid that the sequel wouldn't live up to the first book, but this one does. Although I will say that as to the big shocking thing Morris does at the end - I called it about halfway through. But that didn't keep me from enjoying the book. One more Morris Bird III novel to go.
