Book #22 -- Mario Acevedo, X-Rated Blood Suckers (Felix Gomez #2), 370 pages.
Not quite as fun as the first -- half the enjoyment of a mystery novel is untangling the strings along with or even just ahead of the protagonist. Acevedo's strings in this one are so numerous and so hopelessly knotted that eventually you just give up trying to figure it out yourself. Still an enjoyable read though.
Book #23 -- Carolyn Meyer, The True Adventures of Charley Darwin, 321 pages.
A fictional autobiography of Charles Darwin, from his schoolboy days until his marriage, including, of course, the famous trip on the Beagle. Very well done, and well-researched.
