When I first heard about it two days ago, it was still a tropical storm and wasn't even to Haiti yet. I know what you mean - it stays with you. I was in Miami (University of) for Andrew back in '92 and I still keep track of any storms that are supposed to come near my area, even though I live in the Mid-Atlantic region and they usually peter out before they get near us. Good luck.

Thanks. I'm actually mostly worried about getting back from Birmingham. I'm supposed to fly back Monday afternoon. If Gustav hits as forecasted, that probably won't happen. I'm trying to decide if I should cancel my trip or not.

What are you doing in Birmingham? You could always accidentally drive two hours east and see a certain someone.

Seeing my biological father and family. I *know* I told you about that. And if I were hanging out with friends or whatever, you know I would come see you. But since he's paying to fly me up there, I can't really take a side-trip :-(

Of course, if I get stuck and can't get back home maybe I could :)
