Book #67 -- Frewin Jones, The Faerie Path, 312 pages.

Despite the trite title and even more trite cover art, this is actually a good YA novel about a girl who discovers she's actually the reincarnated daughter of the King and Queen of Faerie. In particular, her resistance to the general notion of her new people that she should just forget her human life and family, as well as her inner turmoil at feeling caught between two worlds, are well done. I raced through both this one and the sequel in only a few hours last night, and I'm quite disappointed I didn't have the third book on hand.

Book #68 -- Frewin Jones, The Lost Queen, 335 pages.

The second book in the Faerie Path trilogy. This is one of those series that's really more like one long book that the author cut up into smaller chunks for marketing reasons. As such, my major complaint is that the second book doesn't really have even a token conclusion, it just ends in the middle of the story. I've already placed an Amazon order for the third book, and will be quite happy when it comes and I can finally finish.
