Book #57 -- Plutarch, Lives of Themistocles, Pericles, Aristides, Alcibiades, Coriolanus, Demosthenes, Cicero, Caesar, and Antony, 389 pages.
One of the Harvard Classics I am working my way through. Some sections were interesting, others less so. I've never been good with names or dates, so much of the 'who defeated who when and where' parts I didn't quite follow, but several of the more personal anecdotes were more enjoyable. Plutarch has an amusing tendency to move back and forth rapidly between true history and simple gossip, and it is always fun to see how little certain things have changed despite the gap in years and culture.
