Thanks for sharing that! I was and always will be a Star Trek fan first, but Star Wars WAS pretty amazing, though I don't have much memory of my first viewing.

God, I remember just being completely out of my mind when those ships went by! It really felt like they had come onto the screen from behind the seats--and nothing had ever felt like that before.

And the score is so ubiquitous now, but hearing it for the first time was incredible!

We used to have a record (hah!) that was score and bits of dialog--we might even still have it--and we listened to it so often as kids that I will probably recognize Gold Leader's voice to the day I die...
