TeeVee Time

I have had to accept, especially since I got the TiVo a number of years ago, that there's just no way I can watch as much of the new shows to test them out as I would like -- so I whittle down my list more and more each fall and attempt to pick what I think will a) be worth my time, or at least be semi-interesting, and b) last longer than 4 eps. I adore Pushing Daisies. I have a huge crush on Lee Pace because of Wonderfalls, too, and he was my sole reason for checking it out, but I've fallen in love with all the characters, and the general whimsical quirkiness, as well as the snappy, sweet, often hilarious dialogue. Between PD and Life, which I'm also enjoying, and never expected to, considering NBC's godawful, inaccurate promos, Wednesday has become one of my favorite TV nights.

After seeing vids and talking to people about Dexter at VVC, I've since seen S1 and fallen hard for that show, too. I haven't started S2 yet, but am very much looking forward to it.

Oddly enough, and I don't know what it says about me, I'm enjoying Moonlight.

I also think that it's more a rehash of Forever Knight than Angel. The episodes have been getting better since the first one, which also gives me hope for it becoming more than I thought from the first episode.

What you said re: Heroes. Times eleventy. Totally with you on every single point. But with my blaspheming addition that I am actually *bored* by Hiro and Kenzei in Ye Olde Southern California Japan. It was cool at first, and now I'm just all, can Hiro *please* get back to modern day (and Ando!!) now please pretty please? Don't get me wrong: I still love Hiro, but that storyline is not progressing in ways that engage me. Ah, well, it's early days yet.

Oh joy! Ok quite a few of these shows I don't watch...but everything you said about Pushing Daisies and Heores *fist pump*

I am feeling pretty similar about Journeyman - except that I think I have finally convinced myself to stop watching it.

Pushing Daisies is easily my favorite show of the new season. It's just so funny, and smart, and sweet. And Swoosie and her eyepatch will be back this week, so yay!

I'm enjoying both Chuck and Reaper a lot too, but I'm considering dropping Heroes. Too many boring plots so far this year, and I completely agree with you about Sylar. I honestly can't even understand why they brought him back. I'll probably stick with the show for a while, but if Noah dies, I'm out.
