Are you really going to get this all resolved in only 3 more chapters?

What a disaster! But I'm glad that at least Ennis is back in touch with Jeff. NOW his being out on the trail is going to be helpful, because he can help coordinate the search--especially now that he's found the downed chopper.

..and everybody dehydrating by the second...

Hey, Sid! Yeah, only three more chapters left! Whoohoo! Thank goodness it's all written already or I might be tempted into a "Rocks fall, everyone dies" ending! Naaahhh! Thanks for reading!

Evenin'.

Well, a fine mess. But jack and Brian have left a clear path, which Ennis should be able to follow. They may have to spend the night together in the ravine, but it will be together, sharing body warmth.

I like the prologues, with the third-party information. And the back-stories on Ennis and Jack and Alma. Quite the triangle. And Ennis is still fighting the good fight inside, trying to reconcile what he thought he wanted with what he really wants and needs.

Great story.

Thanks again.

Bud

Well, that certainly is a cold and miserable way to go but Brian must have been so dehydrated and thinking he was on a sledding expedition not realizing how far and fast he would fall it was really something reading how Ennis and Jack thought as they trudged through this horrible snow and cold and how things are going. Thanks for reading, Joe! Yes, dehydration and hypothermia really affect a person's judgement. These poor guys are exhausted too, which doesn't help matters. Fortunately, it will all be over soon :) Have a great week!

oh no- that's terrible, what a nightmare, poor Brain
I already got a bad feeling when you told us in detail about dehydration. Perhaps they should have stayed by the chopper.

Thanks so reading, Paula! Glad you're enjoying the story. Hmmm.... maybe they would have been better off staying in the chopper.... They may have been rescued sooner. But then we wouldn't have too much of a story!
