Joel wants to spend three months a year on Australia’s Gold Coast.
Sounds like you.

In some cases, metal lyrics are more substantial... I think they're generally just more cryptic, though, which could lead to the illusion of being substantial. Too cryptic, though, and you're left thinking, 'wtf, this song is lame, these lyrics are stupid.' Example: basically anything by Static-X, especially their early stuff, though 'Fix' immediately comes to mind.

I don't fully agree that if two people's interpretations are similar that you've necessarily uncovered the band's intended meaning, as a person's interpretation of a thing depends heavily on their life experiences; could be that you two have coincidentally gone through some similar things to which you relate the lyrics. It seems a pretty logical assumption, though, as most songs aren't terribly difficult to interpret literally.

P.S. I totally influenced a whole bunch of people (Elise, Matt, Tiffany Rae [on Facebook], maxdash, itchingforit, spiral_moon) to do that list. I know it was me because most of them left "Emily wants" as the example in the instructions.
