Jail video visits suck. Sometimes the video feed would jam up. When my parents came to visit it was so loud in the main room where everyone was on a video screen that I couldn't hear them, and they could barely hear me, and it was hard to have a private conversation when you have to talk really loudly on the handset. My dad could have had a webcam thing set up at home but that wasn't his thing and also, I did not need my parents to see me in that situation more than once.
