Hahahaha, when I saw that article, I was like, OMG, u should see this or what! I dun think it is too much to ask for anything above $1500 and I agree, $1700 at the very least! Or in fact, $1800 would be fair!

I think I would still stick to my 1500 (though I wouldn't getting more, if there is ever a chance =x).

i still think you should walk into the interview room and demand a salary no less than $1.5k.

if all else fails, respond by banging on the desk and say "F U too."

Nowadays people wanna spoil market or bosses or niao, and keep on lowering down the pay.
When I thought the economy is getting better?

Even alot of part-time jobs are having f-up pay.
You gotta search more decent paying jobs!

That's why when the lady told me 1300-1400 was the standard pay for IT diploma graduates, I was kinda pissed off. She thought I was really "new" in the market and I didn't have anyone to ask about the current market rates.

Funny lah, about 2 1/2 years ago, when I enlist in NS, the gals in my class, their min pay was $1600. That time economy also not good, yet can command that kinda pay. Now economy better, how can be even lower.....
