Let's try...
Tapenade is a spread made out of minced olives, and, occasionally, caviar. It's good, unless you hate olives.

Also - I empathize. I freakin' hate Subway. Though I may hate Jimmy John's more.

I, too, am sort of afraid of Delis. I wouldn't call it a phobia for myself, as it doesn't give me panic attacks or make me sick, rather it's about the same place on the scale as making a phone call to someone who is not my boyfriend or my parents.

Tapenade is chopped up olives and capers in olive oil, sometimes with anchovies in. It's a brownish sort of salty spread.
