Random Crap

Well, the good--fantastic news is that the fire is now OUT. In fact, it was declared 100% contained a couple of weeks ago. We had some amazing leadership and so many kind people in this community. It was so awesome seeing it.

I'm doing pretty well here. I went to the Renaissance Faire the weekend of fourth of July. I love going there, the dressing ( Read more... )

YAY! Glad to hear that the fire's out entirely! That's one less thing for you to worry about, haha.

Oh dear...I'm not sure if I should laugh or not at the mental image of a NASCAR crew working on your mouth. I'll settle for giving an amused chuckle and then cackle madly once out of sight A Mary Sue? Which fandom/story? My guess would be to tell them what you liked about the story first and offer what could be improved in the review. Don't say "Mary Sue" in the review of her character (or anywhere, because that's how the fight starts), but do point out the most blatant Mary Sue qualities and say what you don't like about them ( ... )

I have not said outright that I would read/review, but I tried to read it, but as horrible as it sounded, I couldn't not make it through it.
Admittedly though, I do not feel like going on to the forum tonight. I'm really, really put off today, because of the movie theater shooting just about 40 minutes away from my home among other things.

I can completely understand. That horrible event has been all over the news - the guy who did it has been claiming that he was Joker and he rigged his apartment with so many intricately designed explosives it'll take the police DAYS to get in there. It's just awful...

Very awful. Normally I would not say this, because somebody would think I was crazy, but I have never been so glad for the death penalty.
The guy even dyed his hair red. I haven't told anybody this, but the guy could have come down here if he chose too. I'm very, very grateful he didn't, because my brother went to a Batman marathon playing at the theater that night.

From what the local news has said--which in both his case and the Waldo Canyon fire has been very good--the guy was a loner and a former medical student who dropped out last year.
He's going to be arraigned Monday, but I doubt the prosecutors will have ALL the charges filed up, only some of them. To be honest, I think someone is going to get him while he is in jail and they're won't be a trial.
And I'm glad your friend is alright. I pray that he did not know anyone affected by this horrific tragedy.
