I found a new artist.  Well, I found him years ago, but I just went back to see what he's doing and he's doing GREAT.

Julie, see if this one gives you shivers like it did me:

It's titled "The Last Viewing": (it's okay, not a virus, go ahead and click.)

It didn't give me shivers, but it did make me grin a lot.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner is probably my favorite museum.

My friend Julie works in a museum. The thought of thieves doing that - it makes me shiver. Even just talking about it. I think she'll get it.

Also, the Nymphs and Satyr piece is probably one she'd recognize. I go to the museum that owns it often:

Oh, I love them ALL! I am so terribly fond of the art handlers and conservators I know (the personality types that go into those fields must include extra doses of thoughtfulness, gentleness, patience and intelligence) that all the images of installations make me feel all thrilled for those people and those moments. To think, a painter finds them, too, worth examining, and the circle of observation, a painter capturing the people conserving the paintings, and making them viewable.

And then, yeah, the Gardner. I've only ever known that wall as damask wallpaper with three chairs in a row.

Beautifully painted.
