When I needed a pick-axe as a garden tool

I have a Russian Sage that isn't doing well where it's planted.  I really wanted to move it to the west side of our property, but the only thing that grows there is a little bit of thyme on top of rocks.  It's crying out for some color over there.  It's the perfect location for that plant I want to move.  But.  It's solid ledge ( Read more... )

A friend used to use cherry bombs - said they were about the right size to crack most of the rocks he needed to remove from his garden.

We do not have rock here in the swamp, thank goodness. Holes are easy after the root mat is removed.
